2020 saw 17 athletes receive athletic scholarships maintaining our 5 year average!
Stu Sells is back with his roots and the program he help found. He just finished the last three seasons coaching Division 1 basketball at Utah State University where he was involved with recruiting, position development for shooting guards and posts as well as off season individual workouts for players. Stu also was responsible for camps, budget, scheduling, and opponent scouting.
One of the original founders of Idaho Flash girls basketball club, Sells spent 9 years providing coaching, skills training, and showcase opportunities for athletes. Sells developed F.I.T. (Flash Intensity Training) a circuit workout that isolates and breaks down individual skills and a ” read and react “ philosophy to applying those skill in competition. In that time over 80 athletes that either played or were F.I.T. trained went on to fulfill their dreams of playing at the collegiate level.
Sells was the Head Coach at Vallivue High school for 5 years with a record of 97-28 and finishing no worse than 4th at state in four of the five seasons, with a runner-up finish and an undefeated 26-0 Championship in 2006. In addition to Coaching, Stu along with his wife Sandra are the owners of Register Graphics, a printing and promotions company that they have operated together for over 20 years.
Stu and his wife Sandra live in Nampa Idaho and have two children, a son, Kyle and a daughter, Cassie. Stu and Sandra also have one grandson, Clayton. Currently, Stu is operating his printing company and expanding on his passion of basketball instruction, forming Flash Academy LLC. The academy will provide much needed skills development for players and coaches alike. Also, Expansion of teams in Utah with Director Kenzie Newton Forming Utah Flash along with our existing teams in Idaho under Director John Hartman will bring more opportunity for players to showcase those skills as they develop.
